A documentary about the only African American Fluxus artist, Benjamin (a.k.a. Ben) Patterson.
I worked as his research assistant for two years, during one evening I sat down with Ben to talk about Art and Fluxus. We get small glimpses into his creative process, his influences, his involvement with the Fluxus Art movements, practically from its inception in 1962.
From his apartment in Wiesbaden, Germany Ben talks about his earlier years as a musician and avant garde artist, to becoming a librarian to support his growing family and finally returning to Art in his 50s.
